Questions

Questions before you book

What happens at a first visit?

You start with a consultation: your routine, what you use and how your skin behaves. Then the facial follows, adjusted to what you talked about. Your esthetician explains each step before she does it. Plan on 90 minutes.

Which languages do you speak?

English throughout. Bhumi speaks Gujarati and Hindi, and Novelette speaks Jamaican Patois. At the front, Shahnaz speaks Bengali and Hindi, Nidhi speaks Hindi and Punjabi, and Nadege speaks Haitian Creole and French. Tell us when you book and we'll put you with someone who speaks it.

Can I bring someone to translate or sit with me?

Yes. A family member is welcome to sit in on your consultation, to help with language or just to listen. During the facial, they wait in the front room, where there are chairs and tea.

How long does a visit take?

A consultation alone is 30 minutes, an express facial 30, a custom facial 60 and the first-visit facial 90. Every service on the menu lists its own time.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes, once, before your first facial, before any peel and before dermaplaning for the first time. If you come back after a long break, we start with a short check-in.

How do you plan a facial for deeper skin tones?

Slowly. Deeper skin tones can mark after a breakout, strong heat or an exfoliant that was too much, so a new product or a peel starts with a patch test, and we change one thing at a time. We talk through sun care at every visit and write down what we did.

What should I do before and after a visit?

When you book, your esthetician tells you what to pause, such as exfoliating products. After the visit she goes over your home routine and what to avoid for a day or two. Her guidance is general, and she confirms it with you.

Who should ask a doctor first?

If you are pregnant or might be, use a prescription skin medicine or have a skin condition a doctor is managing, ask your doctor before you book a peel or LED light. Tell us at booking so we can plan around it.

How does pricing work?

Prices aren't printed on this site. Each esthetician sets her own, and the booking page shows the price when you choose a service, before you confirm.

How do deposits and cancellations work?

A deposit holds the first-visit facial, a peel or a longer facial, and it goes toward your service. Please give 24 hours' notice to move or cancel.
